Kenneth Hunter Thorn
Managing Director, Co-CEO and Founder
For more than 25 years, Ken Thorn was a senior banking executive with major financial institutions. During the majority
of his career, he focused on improving internal banking operations and acquiring troubled banks. He developed and
implemented new and creative business solutions, integrated acquisitions, and divested underperforming or non-strategic
business units. These are the skills that he applied subsequently to building Hobart West, a business he founded in 1996,
and now in assisting companies and organizations in transition.
Prior to his work with Wyatt Partners, Ken founded and grew The Hobart West Group into a $160 million legal services
and commercial staffing company with more than 70 offices and 600 employees. He skillfully guided the firm's organic growth
through a series of 15 acquisitions and mergers.
Ken's tenure at Hobart West built upon his substantial experience in the financial services industry, including leadership
positions with First Fidelity Bancorporation, United Saving Association of Texas and the Southwest, and Chemical Banking
Corporation.
In addition to his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Dickinson College, Thorn possesses a
Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University - and lends his professional expertise to a variety of corporate,
professional, and community boards. He remains a trustee of the Paper Mill Playhouse.
